Sandwich Review

This food review on a prepackaged sandwich from co-op…

The New York deli sandwich with peppered salami, cheese, pickles, sauerkraut, tomatoes, mustard, lettuce on rye bread.

This sandwich was goooood, it was well packed with the right fillings, lots of salami with just the right amount of other fillings. The taste combo is a proven match and it didn’t fail, very tasty, very filling. It’s high end on price for this shop, but modest for the taste, recommend this sandwich for a lunch on the go.

Perpekto Recipe

Perpekto Lady of the Night Linguine

Our take on “pasta alla puttanesca”. We start with the ingredients: Greek purple olives, anchovies, capers, garlic, tinned tomatoes, red bell pepper, oregano, basil, parsley and dried linguine.

Chop the olives, anchovies, capers, garlic and red bell pepper into rough small chunks. Then add small part of rapeseed oil in a pan and then fry all the chopped ingredients together for about 5 to 10 minutes on a high heat. Then turn to a medium heat and add the tomatoes and herbs (roughly chopped), then let this simmer for a further 10-20 minutes, in the mean time put linguine in pan of boiling water and cook for same time.

After the sauce and linguine has cooked, combine with the balance you prefer in a bowl and serve and eat!

M&S Meal Review

Another quick food review… this time a microwave meal from M&S, yes another easy lunch

It’s chicken and vegetable chow mein, only 289 calories. It looked really nice, I love noodles so had to try it. It only takes 4 mins to warm up, now normally not keen on microwave meals (because it means using the voodoo heat machine), but this looked tasty. It was very tasty, big chunks of chicken, great vegetables, good cabbage, noodles were well cooked and soft, sauce was nice, but too much for me, overall a really good low calorie lunch that was quick to cook and eat.

Prezzo Set Menu

Had a great three course meal for lunch at prezzo in Crawley all for £13.50 each… I had POLPETTE GIGANTE – Meatballs with a traditional mix of rosé veal, beef, pork, pancetta, fennel and parsley. Finished with pomodoro sauce, Italian cheese and basil for starter

And then had PAPPARDELLE GORGONZOLA – Seasoned chicken, pancetta, leeks, broccoli and parsley in a creamy gorgonzola sauce for main

Finally had HONEYCOMB SMASH CHEESECAKE – Blended and topped with crunchy honeycomb pieces coated in chocolate for dessert

Was all very good and very yummy! Great very filling lunch in good venue, and all for a great price, around £20 each with drinks.
